Project 3 Part 2 Submission - Schematic
My design strategy is for each space/program to have its own definitive charactheristic but not become a separate entity in the building.
Thus, my idea of having a sense of continuity is throughout the building is strengthened in the visual aspects.
Comprising of 2 main levels and an green outdoor roof level.

My idea for the stairs from Marist Lane, is to give a sense of invite to residents who utilises the park frequently or fot those who are attracted to nature and open surroundings. The stairs can be for people who wants to rest after a long jog, or to chat with friends on a casual afternoon, or even to just sit and enjoy the sun. My main purpose for putting a number of stairs is not only to give a sense of 'level' to the building, but also as a functional subject for visitors or passer-by's to congregrate. Also, this gives out a family-like feel towards anyone who enjoys sitting out in the open.

Concept : 1) Floating,
2) Fluidity/Flow
My first concept (Floating) was derived from my precedent building study of Parco Della Musica designed by Renzo Piano. His building revolves around the concept of 'floating in a sea of vegetation' which was accomplished by the building being elevated on a platform to strengthen the concept.
My interpretation of 'floating' can be seen where the highest level roof seems to float on a bed of grass, then the effect is highlighted more with the level of stairs connecting the roof top to the ground level.
